September 23, 2017 (Dripping Springs, Texas): Another sunny afternoon in the Hill Country. I'm back in Texas after spending the month of August in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Barbara With, Billy Smith, Richard Grossman, and I did 15 dates as The Missing Man Tour. These were gigs that Barbara and I had originally planned to do with our dear friend, Lonnie Knight, but after he lost his long battle with cancer, we decided to follow through and do the shows as a tribute to Lonnie. He was brother to me and he was a musician whose influence will be around for a long time.

We added a new new online photo gallery titled 2017 and we are adding to it throughout the year.

The new Musical Humor page has been quite well-received. You can find the link to it under the Music drop-down menu (in the Table of Contents, to the left). If you've got any musical-type humor, please send it to me.

And don't forget about Beth Williams and her cool radio show: Beth is a first-class songwriter, guitarist, producer, and singer, and her creative output is amazing. She is a true original and a self-professed "Bohemian Hippie Cowgirl." Every time I hear about all she's doing I come away with a major guilt complex. Her focus and energy should be an inspiration to everyone in this crazy business. She now has an Internet radio show that emanates from her studio in Colorado by way of a New Zealand radio station (and locally heard on Texas Rebel Radio) and features Texas and Colorado songwriters. I listen to it whenever I can and I always hear good stuff that I haven't heard before and a lot of my faves as well. She also plays Lonnie Knight's recording of "Biarritz" (which I wrote) often. It's always great radio when talented musicians are choosing the music. For more info on her and her excellent show, click this link to go to her Facebook page .

I'm still with Oat—Onward, thru the fog...
